A Flood Watch has been canceled across the five boroughs after it rained in New York City Tuesday for only the third time in the last three weeks.
The heaviest rain has passed by the five boroughs, but lingering light scattered rain is expected for the rest of the afternoon and into tonight.
With more rain to come, Tuesday is already the wettest day in Queens in more than three months, since June 1.
Heavy rain began during the morning, but had little effect on mass transit or city roads.
Lingering clouds could bring more showers on Wednesday.
