New Yorkers have the chance to experience Korean culture first-hand this week.

It is Korean Arts Week at Lincoln Center and it’s all about celebrating Korea’s arts culture.

There are events taking place through Saturday night and most them are free.

Shanta Thake, chief artistic officer at Lincoln Center, joins “News All Day” to talk about the events.

Thake says attendees can expect musical performances, K-Pop DJs every night, dance, art installations, and more. She wants New Yorkers to “celebrate one another, not just tolerate each other.”

Following the interview, we were treated to a performance by Soo Yeon Lyuh playing the haegeum, a traditional Korean string instrument.
