After experiencing pregnancy loss, and unable to find the medical and emotional care that she needed, Simmone Taitt decided to do something about it. She founded Poppy Seed Health. It’s an app that supports people on their journey, whether that’s with pregnancy, postpartum, or loss.
Taitt joined “News All Day” for this week’s Women Wednesday.
She says that one in four people will experience a loss, whether a pregnancy or IVF loss. There is stigma and shame around this, which is something “Poppy Seed Health” hopes to help change.
After experiencing her own pain, she became a doula, left her tech job, and created her company.
Taitt says that all you need to do is download the app (available for both apple and android), request a chat, and then you’re connected with someone who can provide support.
Poppy Seed Health will be featured as “App of the Day” in the Apple store on February 22nd.
