As spring arrives and warmer temperatures set in, outdoor dining — made popular during the pandemic — makes its return.
While sidewalk dining is year round, outdoor dining on roads starts on April 1.
2. Mayor Adams falls behind on fundraising
New numbers filed on Tuesday after the midnight deadline show Mayor Eric Adams raised only a small amount of what his Democratic rivals did during the last fundraising period from mid-January through mid-March.
In total, his net contributions were about $19,000 this cycle, which is just 1% of what former Gov. Andrew Cuomo raised in two weeks.

3. Congestion pricing will continue past federal deadline, MTA chair says
Despite the U.S. Department of Transportation last month calling for a stop to congestion pricing by March 21, MTA Chair and CEO Janno Lieber says the tolling program will continue.
“The program, which has had such amazing benefits for New Yorkers, faster travel, cleaner air, fewer crashes, less honking, quieter, better environment for all, and also great economic benefits — all that is going to continue,” Lieber said at an unrelated news conference Tuesday.
