City Comptroller and mayoral candidate Brad Lander joined “Inside City Hall” Thursday to discuss his proposals to combat retail theft in the city.

One of his ideas is a reporting system clerks could do from the register to share the feed from store cameras with police.

Lander also discussed the recent move from the Trump administration to revoke $80 million in FEMA funding from the city, and the wave of resignations Thursday over the directive to dismiss Mayor Eric Adams’ corruption case.

“Big props to Danielle Sassoon, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District, who resigned rather than implement this corrupt White House memo,” Lander said. “I think Danielle Sassoon is one of the first heroes of the fight for the values of Americans and of New Yorkers."

When asked if he supports Gov. Kathy Hochul removing Adams from office, Lander said, “Let’s let the prosecution issues play out first.”
