Daniel Penny has been found not guilty of criminally negligent homicide in the death of a man he placed in a chokehold on a subway train, officials announced Monday.

A jury of seven women and five men made the decision to acquit Penny, a former marine, of the charge.

City Comptroller Brad Lander, who is a mayoral candidate, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Monday to talk about this and more.
