Surveillance video obtained by NY1 shows a mob of people spilling out all at once onto 101st Avenue in Richmond Hill, following a verbal dispute that police say broke out inside Showtime Bar and Lounge. 

According to officials, four men in their 20s, 30s and 40s were stabbed on the street within minutes.

The injuries that they sustained to their face and stomach were not life-threatening. However, police say a 31-year-old woman who was part of the group was struck and killed "intentionally" by a hit-and-run driver in a white sedan. 

The incident began around 2:45 a.m. Saturday, police said.

“I usually come home around midnight, so sometimes I walk past here to get home,” Cassidy Henry of Richmond Hill said.

Henry lives close to the Showtime Bar and Lounge. It’s the same nightclub where two off-duty correction officers were shot in March.

Henry said she feels relatively safe walking her dog, Burt, in the neighborhood during the day. But she said since the start of the pandemic, her neighborhood has felt increasingly unsafe late at night. 

“I’ve noticed things where I’ve had to run or be like to have my pepper spray because this is not safe,” Henry said.

Police sources tell NY1 it is not clear what the fight was about and that none of the victims are cooperating with the investigation. 

No arrests have been made so far.
