At long last, it’s the weekend! Below, you’ll find a quick guide — based on information from the MTA — to the biggest planned service changes on the city’s subways and rails.

Subway service changes
4 trains in Brooklyn
Because of station improvement work, from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 4 trains will not run in Brooklyn. They will run from Woodlawn to Bowling Green.
Commuters who normally take the 4 train in Brooklyn are advised to take 2 and 3 trains.
5 trains in Manhattan
Because of station improvement work, 5 trains will not stop between Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall and Bowling Green in either direction all day Saturday and Sunday. The MTA is advising straphangers to take 4 trains for service between those stations.
5 trains will run every 12 minutes during the day and evening between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall. They will make local stops between 125th Street and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall, with uptown trains set to skip 68th Street-Hunter College.
A, C, D and Q trains in Brooklyn and Manhattan
Because of switch replacement, between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday, A trains will not run between 145th Street and West 4th Street-Washington Square in either direction; C trains will not run at all; D trains will not run between 145th Street and 42nd Street-Bryant Park in either direction; and Q trains will not run between 96th Street and Times Square-42nd Street in either direction.
A trains will run in two sections: between Inwood-207th Street and 145th Street, making local stops; and between Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue or Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard and West 4th Street-Washington Square, on the F to 63rd Street/Lexington Avenue, and on the Q to 96th Street. A trains will make local stops between West 4th Street-Washington Square and Euclid Avenue all weekend.
D trains will run in two sections: between Norwood-205th Street and 145th Street, and between 42nd Street-Bryant Park and Coney Island-Stillwell. Avenue.
Q trains will run between Times Square-42nd Street and Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue.
F and G trains in Brooklyn
Because of signal modernization work, between 9:30 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday, G trains will not stop between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Avenue in either direction, and Manhattan-bound F trains will make express stops between Kings Highway and Jay Street-MetroTech.
G trains will be running in two sections: between Court Square and and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and between Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and Hoyt-Schermerhorn, every 20 minutes.
J and M trains in Brooklyn and Manhattan
Because of structural maintenance, between 11:45 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday, J trains will not run between Hewes Street and Broad Street in either direction. M trains, meanwhile, will not run between Myrtle Avenue and Delancey Street-Essex Street in either direction.
S trains in Queens
Rockaway Park Shuttle trains will not run from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
Free shuttle buses will run from Beach 67th Street to Rockaway Park-Beach 116th Street, and will make all shuttle stops between Beach 90th Street and Rockaway Park-Beach 116th Street.
4, 5 and 6 trains in Manhattan
Because of accessibility improvement work, between 9:45 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday, uptown 4, 5 and 6 local trains will not stop at 68th Street-Hunter College.
7 trains in Queens
Because of track replacement, between 11:45 p.m. Friday and 3:30 a.m. Monday, Flushing-bound 7 trains will make express stops from 74th Street-Broadway to Mets-Willets Point.
7 trains will run every eight minutes during the day and evening.
L trains in Brooklyn
Because of station improvement work, between 11:45 p.m. Friday and 12 p.m. Saturday, Manhattan-bound L trains will not stop at Bedford Avenue. Between 11:45 p.m. Saturday and 12 p.m. Sunday, meanwhile, Canarsie-bound L trains will not stop at Bedford Avenue.
