Beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, customers will be unable to log into their accounts, contact customer service or use the automated phone system.

The system is expected to return online at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, April 14.

Toll processing, including congestion pricing, will continue as usual during the upgrade period, but customers are urged to refill their account ahead of time if their balance is low. Automatic replenishments will resume once the new system is online.

Late fee charges will be delayed and due dates for Tolls by Mail payments will be extended during the outage, according to the E-ZPass website.

The upgrade includes a redesigned website at e-zpassny.com that will merge E-ZPass and Tolls by Mail services into one site.

New features also include live chat, Apple Pay and Google Pay options, online business account setup and a new design for easier navigation on phones and tablets.

After the upgrade, toll bills will no longer be paid at tollsbymailny.com. That site will automatically redirect to the revamped E-ZPass site.
