B train service has resumed hours after a woman was struck and killed by a train, authorities said.
Emergency personnel were called to the 34th Street-Herald Square subway stop at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday after the woman was hit, police and the FDNY said. Her name and age weren't immediately released.
Police said they did not suspect any criminality in the woman’s death. An investigation is ongoing.
Service along the B line was suspended for approximately an hour while emergency personnel responded to the scene. Trains then resumed service, but with major delays for the following two hours.
