A 37-year-old woman was struck in the hand by a stray bullet while inside her Brooklyn home early Thursday morning, according to police.
Authorities said the bullet entered through the woman’s first-floor apartment building window at 98 Troy Ave. in Crown Heights.
Police believe no other people were in the room when the bullet flew through the window, striking the woman while she lay in bed.
The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, according to police.
No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.
Thursday’s incident marked the third time in just over two months where a stray bullet struck a victim while inside their home.
In early June, a 15-year-old girl was struck by a stray bullet inside her home in the St. Albans neighborhood of Queens, hitting her left shin, police said.
On Memorial Day, a 72-year-old woman was struck in her right arm while inside her home on 128th Street, near 107th Avenue, in South Ozone Park.
