In partnership with Con Edison and National Grid, the museum is giving away STEAM on-the-go lits. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math.

The kits include materials and instructions to learn more about science, including how to make simple circuits and do it yourself maze activities with magnets.

The museum is giving away 100 kits now and will give 100 more in August.

Organizers say they hope that kids and families are able to learn some new things and have fun while they do it.

"Remember that success is just having fun with the activities. There's no right or wrong way to discover and learn about the science of magnets and their attraction and there's no right or wrong way to have the card light up or not light up. It's really up to you," Executive Director, Staten Island Children's Museum, Dina Rosenthal said.
