A 2-year-old boy has died after falling out of a window of a Brooklyn building Monday morning, officials said.

Authorities say it happened just after 11 a.m.

Fire officials say the child fell from approximately the sixth floor of a building at 760 Eldert Lane in East New York.

The child was pronounced dead at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, according to police.

He is identified by police as 2-year-old Lareese Williams Jr.

Sources tell NY1 that the parents were in the apartment with the child but were in a different room when the fall occurred.
