Gospel singers Donnie McClurkin and Vashawn Mitchell have a new song, “See the Goodness."
McClurkin joined “News All Day” Tuesday to talk about his gospel career.
He’s a legend, having won three Grammy awards and sold over 13 million albums. But on a personal note, his music has helped NY1 anchor Ruschell Boone through some of her toughest days.
McClurkin is also a minister who now leads two churches on Long Island. He says he gets his spirituality from his music and his relationship with God.
McClurkin says “as long as I can sing, I can lift myself up from anything.”
He was also kind enough to showcase his hit song, “Stand,” which has become an anthem of resilience for people, including Boone.
