Hip hop artist Special Ed says his classic song “I got it made” is his best.
His successful debut album came out when he was just 16-years-old and he is part of the legacy of hip-hop.
This year, the 50th anniversary of hip-hop is celebrated and Special Ed joined “News All Day” on Thursday to talk about how he is part of this legacy.
In addition to his amazing career, Special Ed started a nonprofit called Special Ed Arts and Literacy, known as SEAL, which focuses on science, technology, engineering, arts and math, along with the use of music and leadership skills to help support and empower young people.
He also talks about the new non-violence movement he’s a part of. He says that there’s a crisis in hip-hop with recent tragedies befalling some artists. They want to change the narrative around hip-hop as well.
