Not too many ladies could mix it up with their crew like Rah Digga. She was a longtime member of the Flipmode Squad which was led by Busta Rhymes.

As we continue to mark the 50th anniversary of hip hop, Rah Digga joined “News All Day” on Friday to talk about her music and how she balanced it all with motherhood. She says that her daughter was her motivation to keep working.

She was discovered by Q-Tip when she was eight months pregnant, rhyming onstage. Rah Digga says that she always tried to match the aggressive energy of the men in the business.

Rah Digga also proudly worked with The Fugees.

She also says she’s blessed to be part of the legacy of hip hop and continues performing with Busta and so many others.
