Ellen Burstyn is an acting legend having won the Triple Crown: an Oscar, a Tony, and an Emmy. Not only is she still acting at 89 years old, she's also co-president of "The Actors Studio" which is celebrating 75 years this month.
The studio, which opened its doors in 1947, has been a home for actors who train in the Strasburg method. This means they learn to train their imagination to react to imaginary situations.
Ms. Burstyn joined "News All Day" to talk about her incredible career and details on the anniversary celebrations.
Burstyn says The Actors Studio trains actors in the Strasburg method, meaning they teach actors to train their imaginations to react to imaginary situations.
One of her co-presidents of the organization is Al Pacino. This year's anniversary fundraising event features a screening of Pacino's film, "Dog Day Afternoon," followed by a Q&A session with the famed actor.
Burstyn's advice for actors is to focus on the art of acting, meaning continue to take classes to keep working your craft.
