There are less than five months from the Democratic primary.

Public safety is expected to be a major theme on the campaign trail.

On Wednesday, yesterday state Sen. Zellnor Myrie released his plan to tackle crime if elected.

He joined NY1 political reporter Bobby Cuza on “Inside City Hall” Thursday to talk more about the plan and more.

Myrie currently represents neighborhoods in Central Brooklyn, including Crown Heights, Prospect Heights and Park Slope. He is also currently chair of the Codes Committee.
