Cultural Affairs Commissioner Laurie Cumbo talked about how a new LGBTQ+ museum in the city will be a first of its kind and an innovative example of storytelling.
She explained how the Roundabout theater program works and said having paid apprenticeships for young people is imperative to their learning and financial situations.
Cumbo said the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council helps provide grants to those in the arts community and shared all the exciting work and events in store to celebrate Shirley Chisholm’s 100th posthumous birthday.
