A 5-year-old boy who was hurt in a fire that killed two other children on Staten Island last month has died, authorities said.
Aiden Miles passed away on Dec. 28, five days after a fire that tore through a house on Van Duzer Street in Fox Hills left him in critical condition, the NYPD said Wednesday.
A 5-year-old girl, Ashley Miles, and a 6-year-old boy, Cera Miles, were pronounced dead the day the blaze broke out, police said.
The fire also left a 10-year-old boy in critical condition, according to police. The NYPD did not say what condition the boy was in as of Wednesday.
A 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy were hospitalized with smoke inhalation, but were expected to survive, officials said last month.
Police did not say whether the three children who died were related, but the Staten Island Advance reported that the 5-year-old girl and the 6-year-old boy were siblings.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, the FDNY said Wednesday
