QUEENS, N.Y. — Police in Queens have made an arrest in a double shooting that left one man dead on Monday.

The NYPD says Calvin Cross, 25, is charged with murder and attempted murder.

The shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. at 111th Avenue and 176th Street in Jamaica.

Police say 40-year-old Alfonso Dennis was shot in the head and chest.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A 25-year-old man who was also shot is still recovering.
