QUEENS, N.Y. - A massive fire that broke out Thursday at a Chinese restaurant in Long Island City is under investigation.
One person suffered minor injuries when flames began around 1:30 p.m. inside Xi’an Famous Foods located at 26-19 Jackson Avenue.
It took crews about an hour to get the fire under control.
"We put whole on the exposure two side of the building so we could put water diagonally into the building. That's also why we took off the front top of the roof, so we could shoot water diagonally into it," said FDNY Deputy Chief Steve Kubler.
The fire department says the attached buildings on both sides were not affected.
