QUEENS, N.Y. - Passengers on board a Delta flight at JFK airport Thursday became fed up after being delayed for almost eight hours.
Emotions boiled over to the point where police officers boarded the flight to calm things down.
The flight from JFK to Miami, originally scheduled to take off around 3 p.m., was stuck on the tarmac allegedly waiting on ground crew.
Delta did respond to passenger tweets saying in part, "Sorry for the inconvenience. We appreciate your taking the time to share. We'll work our hardest to get you on your way as soon as possible."
The plane eventually departed at 11 p.m. and landed in Miami at 3 a.m.
