QUEENS, N.Y. - The proposed AirTrain for LaGuardia Airport is the subject of two public meetings in Queens this week.
The plan calls for a one and a half mile elevated train that would run between the airport and Willets Point in Flushing.
That's where travelers could catch the Long Island Rail Road and the 7 train.
State officials say the AirTrain would provide a 30 minute ride between the airport and Midtown.
The FAA is hosting the meetings Wednesday and Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the LaGuardia Airport Marriott Hotel.
The agency is asking for public feedback about issues like noise, air quality, and safety.
