The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will make its way to Midtown Manhattan from out of state this year.

The 74-foot-tall Norway Spruce will be cut down in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts, on Thursday, Nov. 7, Rockefeller Center said in a news release.

The center’s iconic Christmas tree hasn’t hailed from Massachusetts since 1959, the release said.

The approximately 70-year-old tree is set to arrive at Rockefeller Center on Saturday, Nov. 9, with the annual tree lighting ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Last year’s Christmas tree traveled to the five boroughs from Vestal, New York, just outside Binghamton in Broome County.

Once this year’s tree is up, New Yorkers and tourists will have until mid-January to pay it a visit.
