Thousands of people will march up Fifth Avenue in Manhattan on Friday for the city’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade — and more than two dozen streets will be cordoned off for the celebration.
The parade, a tradition that dates back to 1762, will kick off at East 44th Street and Fifth Avenue in Midtown at 11 a.m.
The following streets will temporarily close to traffic at the discretion of the NYPD to make way for the festivities, the city’s Department of Transportation said:
