NEW YORK — The construction of a new elevated pedestrian pathway that will link the High Line to the Moynihan Train Hall is underway.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Wednesday for the project.

The pathway will give pedestrians access to the far west side of Manhattan.

The new Woodland Bridge will extend eastward from the High Line at 30th Street.

There will be another bridge to link across 9th Avenue from Moynihan Station.

The $50 million project is expected to be completed by spring of 2023.
