NEW YORK — The historic winning streak of a local college basketball team has come to an end.

The Yeshiva University men's basketball team had not lost a game since 2019 before Thursday night.

Their 50-game winning streak was snapped after losing to Illinois Wesleyan 73-59.

It was the longest active streak college basketball.

They are ranked number one in NCAA's Division III, and have been gaining national notoriety for the streak.
