NEW YORK — A man has been arrested in connection with the hit-and-run that killed actress Lisa Banes on the Upper West Side.

Police say Brian Boyd, 26, of Manhattan is being charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failing to stop for a pedestrian.

Banes suffered a deadly traumatic brain injury when she was hit by a motorized scooter on Amsterdam Avenue at West 64th Street back in June.

The 65-year-old actress was known for her on stage performances on Broadway and on the big screen in the movie "Gone Girl."  

Banes was visiting from Los Angeles and on her way to meet a friend for dinner when she was killed.
