NEW YORK — An attack on an Asian man Thursday night in Chinatown is being investigated as a possible hate crime.
The New York City Police Department says the victim was stabbed at the corner of Worth and Baxter streets.
Police say Salman Muslihi, 23, was arrested and now faces assault, attempted criminally negligent homicide, and other charges.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital.
It's not clear what what led up to the attack.
