NEW YORK - A man is expected to be okay after being pushed onto subway train tracks in Manhattan Wednesday night.

The MTA says the man was pushed onto the southbound A/C tracks at the Chambers Street station just before 7 p.m.

He did not make contact with a train, and was taken to Bellevue Hospital after being helped back onto the platform by bystanders.

The MTA says there appeared to be a fight between three customers.

Police say the alleged pusher ran away from the station in an unknown direction, while the victim suffered a cut to his head.
