NEW YORK - The city police department's bee patrol stepped in to get rid of a hive on a bicycle in Lower Manhattan over the weekend.

The @NYPDBees twitter account posted a picture on Sunday showing the bees covering the middle of a bike near Greenwich and Watts Streets.

The account says it appears that the queen landed on the bike and attracted the rest of the swarm to her.
