NEW YORK - A bicyclist is struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Monday morning in Manhattan.

Police say a 72-year-old man was hit just before 6 a.m. near the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 45th Street in Midtown.

The driver fled the scene.

Police have not released the name of the victim, or any information about the car that hit him.
