NEW YORK - Amazon isn't the only major tech company looking to expand in New York.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Google has plans to add more than 12,000 workers in the city.
The report said the company has a number of real estate deals in the works, including the purchase of a 1.3 million square foot building in the West Village.
Google first opened a New York office in 2000 and has since built a stronghold in Chelsea.
