NEW YORK - There's a collective sigh of relief across social media as Central Park's main attraction is back after ducking out of the spotlight for a day.
The majestic Mandarin Duck mysteriously disappeared from the park Wednesday and caused quite a panic among its fowl followers.
But Thursday morning the Twitter account "Manhattan Bird Alert" posted the good news along with a photo saying the duck was spotted near 60th Street and Fifth Avenue.
There is still a mystery surrounding how the duck got to the park in the first place.
They're rare for the United States and more commonly found in China and Japan.
The Wildlife Conservation Society says no local zoos have reported a missing Mandarin Duck.
