BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Police are investigating after a high speed hit-and-run in Brooklyn left a woman dead early Monday.
Investigators say just after 3 a.m. three cars were speeding on Utica Avenue near Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights, when one of them - a Dodge Charger - lost control and jumped a curb before hitting two people standing at a bus stop.
Police say Aniya Blandon, 20, was brought to the hospital and pronounced dead.
A 21-year-old was also hospitalized and was brought to the hospital in stable condition.
After the crash, police say the driver of the car jumped into one of the two other vehicles and sped off.
