More than a week after a chain reaction car crash led to the death of a cyclist in Brooklyn, an 18-year-old driver is now in custody and faces a long list of charges, including manslaughter.
Surveillance video from August 11 wreck shows the moment when a silver Dodge Charger ran a red light at Coney Island Avenue near Avenue L in Midwood.
Police say Mirza Baig slammed into a Honda SUV.
Both cars spun out of control, and the SUV hit cyclist Jose Alzorriz.
He died at the hospital.
He is the 19th cyclist killed on city streets this year.
The driver of the SUV and another pedestrian suffered minor injuries.
Baig also faces criminally negligent homicide, reckless endangerment and speeding, among other charges.
