Enough is enough. That's the cry community leaders in Brooklyn are raising to protest gun violence.
June is gun violence awareness month, and to kick it off the 9th annual "Not in My Hood" rally took place on Saturday in East Flatbush.
Dozens marched from 'eyer Levin Junior High School on Beverley Road to Kings Theater on Flatbush Avenue.
Organizers say the march teaches individuals how to take action to stop senseless shootings.
Candidate for City Council Monique Chandler-Waterman says "a 9-year old got shot riding his bike and we was like enough is enough, this is happening to often. You should be able to go outside your house and not be fearful of gun violence."
The march ended at a resource fair tying into wider opportunities for success in the community with employment opportunities and summer youth programs.
