BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Police are investigating two separate shootings in Brooklyn over the Memorial Day holiday.

Police say officers were called to Stanley Avenue and Hemlock Street in East New York late Monday night to find three men shot.

NY1 is told one of the victims had wounds to his head and neck, he was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.

The two other men are expected to survive.

According to police, the victims were gathered for a barbecue, when a man showed up and opened fire before fleeing.

No arrests have been made.

And police are also investigating another shooting in Brooklyn.

Meanwhile, investigators say a 16-year-old-boy and two others were shot around 9 p.m. at St. Andrews playground in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The playground is located at Kingston Avenue and Herkimer Street.

Two people were shot in the leg and the other in the shoulder.

There was no immediate word on their conditions.
