NEW YORK — The City Sheriff's Office announced it shut down an illegal party overnight in Brooklyn, nearly 400 people were there.

Officials said the party happened inside a warehouse near Meadow and Bogart Streets in East Williamsburg.

According to deputies, when they arrived at the location around 1 a.m. Saturday, they heard loud music coming from the warehouse and found security guards at the entrance. Officials said they saw more than 150 people in Halloween costumes entering the location.

Upon inspection, deputies said they found 387 people at the party without face coverings. Halloween decorations, a DJ, and three walkup bars were also inside, according to officials.

Nine organizers now face three or more charges each for violating health and safety regulations, as well as state Alcohol and Beverage Control Laws.
