A second man died Sunday from a Bronx shooting on Friday in the Tremont neighborhood, officials said.
Devren Smith, 37, of the Bronx was shot Friday afternoon in the chest and was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he died from his injuries Sunday, the NYPD said.
Four men were shot Friday at East Tremont and Hughes avenues around 2:30 p.m., police and the FDNY said.
Jeremiah Smith, 24, of the Bronx died Friday after he was shot in the chest, police said.
A 36-year-old man was shot in the ankle and a 58-year-old man was shot in the buttocks, the NYPD said.
Two men were arrested in connection with the Bronx shooting, police said.
Salvatore Rivera, 51, of the Bronx was arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
Jose Parilla, 32, of Manhattan was arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
