An inmate that escaped custody has been caught.

Sources tell NY1, 30-year-old David Mordukhaev broke out of his assigned housing area through a window.

The city's Correction Department believes he escaped the Bronx Jail facility known as 'The Barge' sometime between midnight and 5 a.m. Saturday.

The East River facility had to be placed on lockdown before he was captured.

Officials say they are investigating how it all happened.
