BRONX, N.Y. - More than a dozen alleged gang members were indicted Wednesday in connection with multiple shootings in the Bronx.
Investigators say they are all members of the "280 Gangsta Crips."
The shootings in question took place in Concourse Village and Claremont and date back to 2014.
Prosecutors say most of the violence was targeted towards a rival gang, in retaliation for two killings.
"The shootings have to stop. The cooperation has to start. We will continue to work with our NYPD partners and the community to stem the violence in the 44th Precinct and anywhere in the Bronx where gang members think they hold sway," said Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark.
The defendants face charges including attempted murder, conspiracy, and gang assault.
