New York City’s pandemic recovery may be underway, but with a rising crime rate and some businesses unable to keep their doors open, the five boroughs are still struggling. How did we get here?

Veteran journalist Seth Barron tackles that question in his new book “The Last Days of New York,” and he joins Errol to explain how he thinks Mayor de Blasio has left the city vulnerable. They also discuss taxing the wealthy and get into a debate over diversity in public schools — including the city’s elite high schools. Barron also explains why he thinks de Blasio really ran for president.
