Jennifer Jones Austin, the longtime CEO of the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies, joined Errol to talk about the disproportionate effect the pandemic has had on low-income communities in New York and what can be done to achieve equality in the city.

She shared her ideas to end systemic racism and talked about what policies mayoral candidates should consider as the city looks to recover from COVID-19. And she discussed her recent partnership with the NYPD to develop ways the department can reform policing and become more transparent.

She also walked Errol through her personal path into social justice and anti-poverty advocacy, and she reflected on her fight against leukemia.
