The coronavirus pandemic has had a devastating impact on the already existing hunger crisis across the nation and in New York City. By some estimates, about two million New Yorkers are struggling to put food on the table. What can be done to deal with the problem? Is the de Blasio administration taking the steps needed to help New Yorkers?

Joel Berg, CEO of the nonprofit Hunger Free America, joined Errol to discuss the fight against hunger and explain what policies both the federal government and the city should be enacting to end food insecurity. And he talked about his time working to end hunger during his time at the U.S. Department of Agriculture under the Clinton administration.
