Award-winning journalist Maria Hinojosa has spent her career breaking barriers, currently with her independent news organization Futuro Media. She joined Errol for a conversation on racism, politics and media in the wake of the El Paso, Texas, terror attacks. She talks about her mission to humanize and bring attention to the plight of immigrants. And she discusses the importance of covering the changing cultural landscape in America and having diverse newsrooms. She also explains how her dream of being an actress led her to her first job in journalism.
