Happy Friday. Spring warmth finally made an appearance in New York City: temperatures topped out in the 80s, making Friday the warmest day since early October. The warm weather also broke a string of 10 straight days with below-normal temperatures.

Tracking Storms

Scattered thunderstorms are likely Friday night. The storms will happen mainly late and could bring strong winds and heavy rains when they pass through.

Weekend Weather

The final weekend before Memorial Day should be pleasant. Saturday brings sunshine, warm conditions and less humidity. The high will be 77.

For Sunday, we’ll have increasing clouds and highs in the 60s.

Stuck in the Clouds

Next week looks unsettled for the city. That’s "weather speak" for cloudy with lots of rain chances. So far, Tuesday looks like the wettest day. There could be showers on Monday, Thursday, and Friday too, and the whole week looks cloudy. Temperatures will peak in the low 60s.
