Citi Bike prices will go up starting Jan. 6, the company announced.
For non-members, it will cost $4.99 to start a ride. Using an e-bike will now cost 38 cents per minute.
Overage charges will cost 38 cents per minute for both e-bikes and regular rides. Overage charges count each minute past the first 30 minutes of a single ride.
These prices are up from the current $4.79 to unlock, 36 cents per minute e-bike and overage fees that started in July.
For members, e-bike and overage rates will rise to 25 cents per minute. There will be no increase to the annual membership price. These rates also apply to Lyft Pink All Access members.
Reduced fare riders will pay 13 cents per minute for using an e-bike and 25 cents per minute for overage charges. There will be no change to the monthly membership price for reduced fare riders.
A day pass will increase from the current $19 to $25 starting Feb. 3.
The increase will mark the third time within 13 months that Citi Bike raises its prices.
