Citi Field is now equipped with Citi Bikes.

Officials unveiled two bike stations at the stadium Thursday, with 66 docks in total. They said this is the next step to expanding transit access to Citi Field.

“We can now hop on a Citi Bike, and leave our cars at home, bring our families, and get here safely,” said Jim Burke, co-founder of the 34th Ave Open Streets Coalition.

“When it comes to Citi Bike, it’s the best private, public project working together. It’s about Lyft, but also about the great team we have at the DOT,” Department of Transportation Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez said.

Mr. and Mrs. Met also joined in on the fun, testing the new bikes.

The new docks come as Mets owner Steve Cohen has announced plans for an $8 billion “metropolitan park” around Citi Field, including a food hall, athletic fields and improved transit.

The plan is still under community review.
